Side Part Haircut in Mississauga: Book It Tapered, Faded or Hard-Parted
Short answer: Yes, Markcutit cuts side parts at our Heartland Town Centre studio as a Haircut Only booking on Booksy, with scissor sides, a taper or a fade. Marcel Shabo leans toward the low tapers a classic side part sits on; Mark Yousif suits a skin-faded or slicked version. Tell us which side you currently comb it to, and we check it against your natural part.

Pick your side part version when you book
A side part at Markcutit is always booked as Haircut Only; the version you want goes in the Booksy note so your barber can plan the sides. That one line saves time and gets you matched to the right barber.
Our side part guide explains how the part is placed and how to style it. The booking choices look like this:
| Version | Sides | Barber leaning | Back in |
|---|---|---|---|
| Classic | Scissor cut, tapered at the edges | Marcel Shabo | 4 to 5 weeks |
| Modern | Low or mid taper fade | Marcel Shabo | 3 weeks |
| Sharp | Skin fade, often with a hard part | Mark Yousif | 2 to 3 weeks |
What to tell us in the consultation
Tell us which side you have been parting on and whether it has ever felt like a fight. If the hair keeps flipping back the other way by noon, the part is probably on the wrong side, and we will show you where it falls when we comb it wet.
Other things that shape the cut are the product you use, whether you blow-dry, and whether you want the part drawn as a shaved line. A hard part at Markcutit is added during the same haircut, so there is nothing extra to book.
Why the sides set your rebooking date
How often you come back for a side part depends almost entirely on how short the sides are. The top can go a month or more before it is too long to comb neatly, but the sides show growth much sooner.
A classic scissor-sided version grows out gently, so every four to five weeks is fine. A taper fade needs about three weeks, and a skin fade with a hard part looks its best if you come back every two to three. Set a recurring booking in Booksy to match, ideally with the same barber so the part is placed the same way every time.
Timing a side part for grad season and weddings
A side part is the most requested cut for formal photos, and June is when those dates stack up in Peel. Proms run from early to late June and graduations fall in the last week of June, so evening slots fill well ahead of time.
Get the cut three to five days before the event, so the edges settle and the part lies naturally, and book that slot two or more weeks in advance. Our prom haircut and wedding haircut pages cover each occasion, including how to handle a group of groomsmen or friends.
A cut that works from office to Sunday
Because the studio is open until 9 PM every day, you can fit a side part in after work without rushing. Plenty of people book a Sunday evening slot so the cut is fresh for the week ahead.
You can see a side-swept example with a beard in our Side-Swept Fade and Full Beard case, which is a useful photo to point at if you want a similar shape.
Side part haircut in Mississauga: common questions
Can you move my part to the other side?
We can cut for either side, but if your hair naturally falls the other way it will keep pushing back. We will show you what it looks like both ways before we commit.
Can I recreate a side part from an old family photo?
Yes. Bring the photo. Old-style side parts usually mean scissor-cut sides and a softer neckline, which we can do as a scissor cut.
Can I book a side part with a beard trim?
Yes, book Haircut + Beard on Booksy and both are shaped in one sitting.
Does a side part work if I am thinning at the front?
Often, with a lower part and a matte product rather than shine. Mention it at the consultation; our page on a barber for thinning hair in Mississauga explains how we approach it.
