High Fade in Mississauga: Booking, the Scalp Check and Upkeep

Short answer: Yes, Markcutit cuts high fades at its studio in Heartland Town Centre, Mississauga, open until 9 PM every day. Book Haircut Only on Booksy or by call or text at (647) 221-9795. Because a high fade exposes almost the whole side of the head, the one thing that matters is committing to a cut roughly every two weeks, so book the follow-up before you leave.

Is a high fade the right booking for you?

A high fade is the right booking if you want maximum contrast and can come back every couple of weeks. It is the wrong one if you want a cut that still looks planned after a month, because the tight band of blend has nowhere to hide regrowth.

If you are unsure about the height itself or what it reveals, our high fade guide covers that in full. This page is about getting one done well here and keeping it that way.

The scalp check we do before the first pass

Before we commit to a high line, we run our hands over the sides and back and look at the scalp under the light. Old scars, a raised ridge or a patch of irritation all change the plan, and it is much easier to adjust now than after the hair is gone.

Sometimes the answer is to keep the height but leave a No. 1 over a scar instead of skin. Sometimes it is to drop the line a couple of centimetres. We will tell you what we see and let you decide, and nothing gets cut until you agree.

Two barbers, two ways to wear it

Mark Yousif leans toward skin fades, so a high skin fade with a razor-sharp lineup, or a high fade flowing into a beard, is a natural fit for his chair. His portfolio shot High Fade & Beard shows that pairing.

Marcel Shabo leans toward detailing and texture. His High Fade & Detailing is a good reference if you want a textured top and very clean edges around the ears. Either barber cuts the full height; pick the one whose top matches yours.

Keeping a two-week schedule without thinking about it

A standing slot is what keeps a high fade looking like a high fade. Around day ten the skin band shows stubble and the blend starts to flatten, and by day fourteen most clients want it redone.

What tends to work:

  • Book the next cut in Booksy before you walk out, same weekday two weeks out.
  • Pick an evening slot if weekends are busy; we cut until 9 PM, Sunday included.
  • If you have to stretch to three weeks, ask for a half guard at the bottom next time.
  • Beard wearers can book Haircut + Beard every visit so the fade and the cheek line stay in sync.

Summer sun, winter toques and a high fade

More exposed scalp means more sun on it. In July, freshly faded sides burn quicker than you expect, so a hat or a sunscreen suited to your skin is worth it on the patio or at the beach. If your skin reacts badly, see a doctor or dermatologist rather than guessing.

Winter is easier than people think. A toque sits over the short sides without crushing anything, and the top recovers once you take it off, especially with a light matte product. For hockey players, a high fade also stays drier under a helmet.

High fade in Mississauga: common questions

Can I get a high fade the same day I book?

Frequently. Booksy shows same-day openings in real time; if nothing is listed, text (647) 221-9795 and ask about late cancellations.

Will a high fade pass at a new job?

In most Mississauga workplaces, yes, especially with a neat top; if you want something quieter for the first weeks, our mid fade appointments are a safer start.

Can I go from a high fade back to a low one?

Yes, but it takes growth, not a single cut. Expect four to six weeks before the sides are long enough to set a lower line.
