Drop Fade in Mississauga: Book It With Marcel or Mark
Short answer: Yes, drop fades are a regular in our chairs at Markcutit, Heartland Town Centre, and Marcel Shabo leans toward them. Book Haircut Only on Booksy and choose Marcel, or call or text (647) 221-9795. If you have curls or waves, come with your hair in its natural state rather than straightened, because we place the curve behind the ear by how your hair actually sits.

Why most drop fade clients book Marcel
Marcel Shabo lists drop fades among the cuts he leans toward, alongside low and mid tapers, texture on top and detailing. The drop lives or dies on the arc behind the ear, and that arc is detail work: matching two curves you cannot see at the same time.
Mark Yousif cuts drop fades too, and he is the better pick when the drop needs to meet a full beard, since fade-into-beard blends are his lean. Marcel's Mid Drop Fade in the portfolio is the photo most people show us when they book.
What to tell us when you book
The Booksy notes field is short, so use it for the three details that change the plan. Everything else we can sort in the consultation.
- Height: low, mid or high drop. If you do not know, write "like the Mid Drop Fade photo".
- Bottom: skin or a half guard at the nape.
- Hair state: natural curls, relaxed, or recently straightened, so we know how it will sit tomorrow.
- Beard: if you have one, switch the booking to Haircut + Beard.
How the appointment unfolds for a drop fade
We start with your hair as it naturally falls, look at the occipital bone and each ear, and agree how deep the curve should dip. The guideline goes in at the side first, then drops behind each ear so both arcs land at the same point on the nape.
The blend is built up from there, the top is shaped to suit your curl or wave pattern, and the whole outline gets a razor lineup. A hot towel, a wash and a head massage come with the service, and the wash also lets us check the curve once your curls spring back up. For the background on the shape itself, see our drop fade guide.
When to rebook, and what goes soft first
Book a drop fade every two to three weeks. The first thing to go is the lowest part of the arc at the nape, because that skin section is small and stubble shows against it within a week or so.
Curly clients often find the top still looks great at week three while the back has lost its curve, which is the sign to come in. If you are letting the top grow for a bigger shape, keep the two-to-three-week rhythm anyway; we only tidy the top and redo the drop.
Waves wearers are the one group who often come in closer to every two weeks, because the pattern at the back needs a clean nape to read properly. If that is you, tell us at the first visit and we will keep the drop slightly lower so it hides more regrowth.
Curls, humidity and a Mississauga summer
Humid summer days make curls expand, and that is exactly when a drop fade earns its keep. With the back cleared in a curve rather than a flat band, the extra volume on top has somewhere to go and the head does not start to look boxy by the afternoon.
In winter the opposite happens: dry indoor air and a toque can flatten the top. A leave-in or light cream helps, and our curly fade page has more on keeping curls defined through the cold months.
Drop fade in Mississauga: common questions
Can I book a drop fade with Marcel on a Sunday?
We are open Sundays until 9 PM, so yes, as long as he has an opening; Booksy shows his live availability.
I want a burst fade, not a drop. Do I book differently?
No, both are Haircut Only. Just say burst in the notes; our burst fade booking page explains how that appointment differs.
Should I bring a photo of a drop fade?
Yes, ideally one showing the back and side. Photos from behind tell us more about the curve than front shots do.
