Quiff Haircut in Mississauga: Who Cuts It and When to Rebook
Short answer: Markcutit cuts quiffs at our Heartland Town Centre studio in Mississauga, from short textured versions to polished ones for the office. Book Haircut Only on Booksy: Marcel Shabo leans toward the point-cut, textured top most quiffs want, and Mark Yousif toward skin-faded sides and razor edges. Arrive with about 6 cm or more at the front so the lift has something to work with.

Is Marcel or Mark the better booking for a quiff?
Choose Marcel if texture is your priority and Mark if the sides are. Marcel Shabo's leanings are low and mid tapers, drop fades and texture on top, which lines up with the loose, separated quiff that most reference photos show. Mark Yousif, who founded the studio, leans toward skin fades and razor lineups, so a sharp quiff over bare sides with crisp edges is natural territory for him.
Both barbers cut every style on our menu, so treat this as a leaning, not a rule. If you want the background on textured, polished and short versions before you book, our quiff guide covers all three, and Marcel Shabo's profile shows more of his textured work.
Three things we check before cutting a quiff
Before any length comes off, we look at the three details that decide whether a quiff will stand up at home or flop by noon.
- The crown. A double crown or a strong swirl behind the top can fight the backward sweep, so we may leave a touch of extra weight there to hold it down.
- The corners of the front hairline. Lifting the front puts the temples on show, and if they have thinned we will suggest keeping the quiff lower and messier.
- How your hair falls when it is dry. Hair that drops forward on its own needs more lift built into the cut than hair that already wants to stand up.
Rebooking by fade height
Match your return visits to the fade you chose, not to the top, because the shorter the sides the sooner they soften. The quiff itself can usually go longer before the front loses its shape.
If you like a regular weekday evening, reserving the next one before you leave the chair keeps it yours. We are open until 9 PM daily, so an after-work slot rarely means rushing.
| Sides under the quiff | Sides refreshed | Top reshaped |
|---|---|---|
| Low taper | Roughly every 4 weeks | Every second visit |
| Mid fade | Every 3 weeks | Every 5 to 6 weeks |
| Skin fade | Every 2 weeks | Every 5 to 6 weeks |
A quiff that survives a Mississauga workday
A textured quiff is one of the easier longer-top styles to keep presentable from a morning 401 commute to an evening workout, provided it was cut with enough weight at the crown. Point-cut ends forgive a hat, a headset or a car headrest far better than a smooth, polished finish does.
After the gym, wet the front, rough dry it upward with your fingers and the texture comes back; our tips on keeping hair looking good after the gym go further. For offices that lean formal, ask for a shorter front and a low taper, which still reads as a quiff on a video call but needs very little product.
What you leave the studio with
Every quiff at Markcutit finishes the same way: a hair wash, hot towel treatment and head massage, then we dry the front upward and style it so you see the lift built properly, followed by a razor-clean lineup at the edges.
Ask us to style it with a light hand if you want to see how it looks with the amount of product you would realistically use on a Tuesday. It is a more honest preview than a heavily styled finish you will never recreate.
Quiff haircut in Mississauga: common questions
Can I switch from a pompadour to a quiff in one visit?
Usually, yes. A quiff needs less front length than a pompadour, so we can shorten and texturise the top in a single appointment. Going the other way takes months of growth; our pompadour page explains that booking.
Is a quiff a good first longer-top style?
It is one of the most forgiving, because texture hides uneven growth. Start with a short quiff and let the front get longer over two or three visits.
How do I make sure I get the same barber every time?
Choose Mark or Marcel by name on Booksy, or say who you want when you call or text (647) 221-9795 or message @markcutit on Instagram.
