Fringe Haircut in Mississauga: Booking a Scissor-Cut Fringe at Markcutit
Short answer: Markcutit cuts men's fringes at our Heartland Town Centre studio, from short textured fringes over a taper to heavier ones that sit near the brows. Book Haircut Only on Booksy with Marcel Shabo, who leans toward texture and detailing, or with Mark Yousif. Because a fringe outgrows its shape before the sides do, plan to come back sooner than you would for a crop.

A fringe is a Haircut Only booking
There is no separate fringe service on our menu: a fringe is booked as Haircut Only, which covers any fade, taper or scissor style. The front is cut with scissors and the sides with whichever fade or taper suits the look, all in one appointment.
If you have not settled on a type yet, our fringe haircut guide compares textured, blunt, curtain and messy fringes. You can also decide in the chair; bring a photo and we will name it with you.
Who to book for a fringe
Marcel Shabo is the natural first pick for most fringes, because his leanings are texture on top, detailing and low to mid tapers, which describes the point-cut fringe over soft sides that most men want. See more of his work on Marcel's profile.
Mark Yousif leans toward skin fades and razor lineups, so if you want a heavier fringe over sides taken to skin, a combination with a lot of contrast, he is a strong choice. Both cut fringes of every type; Booksy shows who has the next opening.
How to arrive for a fringe cut
Arrive with your fringe exactly as it falls on an ordinary day. Do not blow-dry it flat, pin it back or push it off your face with product, because the way it drops on its own is what we cut to.
If you are coming straight from a workout, that is fine, as long as you mention it: sweat and a headband both change how the front sits, and we will factor that in. Glasses wearers should keep them on for part of the consultation so we can see where the frames sit against the ends.
What the included wash reveals
Every service at Markcutit includes a hair wash, hot towel treatment and head massage, and for a fringe the wash does real work. After the first cut, washing and drying the front shows how it behaves clean and product-free, which is how it will look on a lazy morning.
We then check the fringe again once it is dry and refine any piece that has jumped or twisted. It is a small step, but it is the difference between a fringe that looks right in the chair and one that still looks right on day four.
Why a fringe brings you back sooner
A fringe changes character with every few millimetres, so book roughly once a month even if your sides could stretch longer. When it starts to touch your lashes or split in the centre on its own, it is time.
If only the front has grown, tell us: it is still a Haircut Only booking, but we can spend the time where it is needed. And before school photos, a headshot or a grad ceremony, cut about a week ahead, since a fresh fringe can look slightly heavy for a few days. Our headshot haircut page covers that timing in more detail.
Fringe haircut in Mississauga: common questions
Can you cut a fringe on very thick, straight hair?
Yes. Heavy straight hair makes a strong fringe; the key is removing weight from inside so it does not sit like a helmet. Our barber for Asian hair page covers that texture.
Can I have a fringe with a skin fade?
Yes. It gives the sharpest contrast between a soft front and clean sides, and Mark leans toward that kind of skin work.
Is it worth a visit just for the fringe?
It is, especially if the front is in your eyes and the rest still looks fine. Book Haircut Only and let us know at the start that the front is the priority.
