Two-Block Haircut in Mississauga: Booking the Korean Cut at Heartland

Short answer: You can get a two-block haircut at Markcutit in Heartland Town Centre: book Haircut Only on Booksy and bring the photo you are working from. Either barber cuts it, with Marcel Shabo leaning toward the texture and detailing inside the top and Mark Yousif toward tight sides. Worth knowing first: many reference photos show permed hair, and we cut but do not perm.

We read your reference photo with you first

Most two-block requests arrive as a screenshot of an actor or idol, so the first job of the consultation is separating what in that photo is the haircut from what is styling or chemistry. Our two-block guide explains the construction itself; this is about translating your picture.

Once we have agreed which parts are cut and which are styled, you know exactly what you will walk out with and what you would need a dryer for at home.

  • A soft C-curve at the ends usually comes from a perm. We can cut the shape, but straight hair will not hold that bend without a round brush each morning.
  • Side hair lying perfectly flat at the temples is often a salon down perm, a chemical process we do not offer. A good cut and a heavier canopy get you most of the way.
  • A glimpse of short hair under the canopy tells us the underlayer length, which we match with a guard, often a No. 2 or No. 3.
  • A fringe resting on the brows is a length we can set precisely, so point to where you want it to land.

Marcel or Mark for your two-block

Book Marcel Shabo if the inside of the top is your worry, and Mark Yousif if you want the underlayer very short. Marcel leans toward texture on top and detailing, which is the internal thinning that stops the canopy puffing out over the short section.

Mark leans toward skin fades and razor lineups, so if you want the underlayer taken close with a razor-clean neckline, he is the natural pick. Both cut the full style, and Booksy lets you choose either by name.

A real variation: heavy fringe over a drop fade

Not every two-block uses a single guard underneath. In our portfolio, the heavy fringe and drop fade from the studio shows a variation where the short section is faded and dips behind the ear, while a heavy fringe still falls over the front.

That version grows out a little more gently at the back and suits people who want the soft, forward top of a two-block with a cleaner neckline. Mention it at the consultation if it is closer to what you want than a flat one-length underlayer.

Booking the next visit before the canopy lifts

Plan your return for the week you notice the top starting to stick outward at the sides instead of lying down, which for most people falls around week four. Waiting past that point means the next cut has more to correct.

Seeing the same barber each time keeps the disconnection at the same height, which matters because a line that moves a centimetre between visits shows when the wind lifts your hair. If you are between full cuts and the top still sits well, book Haircut Only as usual and tell us you only need the underlayer and neckline redone.

Timing it for school, work and photos in Peel

The underlayer looks its neatest for about the first three weeks, so time the cut around the day that matters. Ontario schools return the Tuesday after Labour Day, which is September 7 in 2027, and the last week of August or the first days of September is a sensible window for a fresh start.

For headshots or a first day at a new job, book three to five days before so the canopy has settled into its natural fall. If your hair is thick and very straight, our page on the barber for Asian hair covers how we handle that texture more broadly.

Two-block haircut in Mississauga: common questions

Do I need to blow dry it the way you do in the chair?

For the closest match, yes: a minute of drying forward and slightly down is what makes the canopy sit close. Air-dried, it will still look like a two-block, just a little fuller.

Will my two-block look like the photo straight after the cut?

It should look close on the day, since we style it before you leave. How close it stays depends on your hair type and whether the photo involved a perm.

Can I book a two-block on a Sunday evening?

Yes. We are open until 9 PM on Sundays, and same-day openings often show on Booksy, or you can call or text (647) 221-9795.
