How far is Heartland from Meadowvale, honestly?

It is about 9 km by road, which works out to around 11 minutes when traffic on the 401 is light. That makes us a short highway hop east of you, not a shop around the corner, and most of those kilometres are spent in the collector lanes.

Weekday evenings change the picture. The eastbound 401 can stretch well past the free-flow time around the end of the workday, so if you are coming straight from home at 5 PM, pick a slot that leaves you some slack rather than one that starts the minute you pull out of the driveway.

The drive from Lake Aquitaine and Millcreek Drive

Four roads and one stretch of highway cover it. Most people in the Lake Aquitaine and Lake Wabukayne part of the community will start the same way.

1. Get onto Millcreek Drive, the road Meadowvale GO sits on, and head for Erin Mills Parkway.
2. Follow Erin Mills Parkway north to where it meets Mississauga Road, then take the ramp onto the 401 eastbound.
3. Stay in the collector lanes and leave the highway at the Mavis Road exit.
4. Drive south on Mavis to Matheson Blvd W and follow Matheson toward McLaughlin Rd; the studio is on that edge of Heartland Town Centre, with the centre's surface parking lots around it.

Meadowvale and Meadowvale Village are not the same place

Meadowvale, where you are, is the large planned community west of us, roughly bounded by Ninth Line, Mavis Road, Highway 407 and Britannia Road, with its two man-made lakes about 1.5 km apart. Meadowvale Village is a separate heritage hamlet north of Heartland, across the 401 near Old Derry Road and Second Line W.

The difference matters when a friend says we are close. From the Village it is about six minutes; from Meadowvale it is closer to eleven. Our Meadowvale Village page covers that shorter trip if it is the one you meant.

Can you take MiWay from Meadowvale Town Centre?

Yes, on weekdays at rush hour. MiWay route 43 Matheson starts at the Meadowvale Town Centre terminal, the third-largest in the MiWay network, and runs along Matheson Blvd with stops that include McLaughlin Rd, right on our side of Heartland.

The 43 only operates in weekday peak periods, though, so it will not help on a Saturday afternoon or a Sunday evening. Meadowvale GO is no shortcut either: it is on the Milton line, and no GO station sits close to Heartland.

Reasons Meadowvale clients make the drive

The trip earns its place when the appointment gives you something a quick plaza cut does not.
