Barber near Square One: 10 Minutes Up Mavis to Heartland
Short answer: Markcutit is not inside Square One. We are about 6 km north of the mall, roughly ten minutes by car up Mavis Rd to Matheson Blvd W in Heartland Town Centre. Without a car, MiWay 61 Mavis and 66 McLaughlin both run from City Centre Transit Terminal to Matheson Blvd. Book on Booksy; we are open until 9 PM daily.

We are near Square One, not in it
If you searched for a barber near Square One, you should know up front that our chair is not in the mall or the downtown core. It is inside Heartland Town Centre, at 650 Matheson Blvd W, about ten minutes north.
The upside is a straight run north, surface parking once you arrive, and hours that stretch from 9:30 AM to 9 PM on every day of the week.
Taking the bus from City Centre Transit Terminal
The terminal beside Square One is where two direct routes to us begin, which makes this one of the easiest trips in the city without a car.
- At City Centre Transit Terminal, board the 66 McLaughlin or the 61 Mavis.
- On the 66, ride up McLaughlin Rd and get off at Matheson Blvd. This is the closer stop to our side of Heartland.
- On the 61, ride up Mavis Rd to Matheson Blvd, then walk east along Matheson toward McLaughlin.
- Look for 650 Matheson Blvd W, the address Home Depot and Winners also use.
Driving from the downtown core
From the Centre View Dr side of the core, get onto Mavis Rd and head north. Mavis runs straight up past Eglinton and Bristol to Matheson Blvd, where you turn east toward McLaughlin Rd. The downtown core sits inside Confederation Pkwy, Hurontario St, Webb Dr and Centre View Dr, so Centre View is the natural exit toward Mavis.
Hurontario works too if you are on the east side of the core: north to Matheson, then west. Park in Heartland's surface lots. Weekday rush hour on either road adds time, so leave a margin for a 5 PM booking.
Who comes up from the City Centre
The core has a mix of condo residents, office workers around the Civic Centre and Celebration Square, and students at Sheridan's Hazel McCallion campus. Each has a reason to make the trip.
For students and office staff the late close is the draw, because a cut at 7:30 PM does not eat into class or work. Condo residents without a car have the 61 and 66. Anyone heading to a show at the Living Arts Centre can book an afternoon cut and be back downtown in plenty of time. Our job interview haircut page is worth a read if the cut is for a big day.
The appointment itself
Every cut starts with a consultation and ends with a razor-clean lineup, and every service includes a hot towel treatment, hair wash and head massage at no extra cost. Book Mark Yousif for skin fades, razor lineups and slick backs, or Marcel Shabo for tapers, drop fades and textured tops.
Prices and times are on Booksy, and same-day openings often appear there. You can also call or text (647) 221-9795 or send a DM to @markcutit. For evening availability, see our after-work barber page.
