Short answer: From Meadowvale Village, Markcutit is about 4.5 km south, roughly a six-minute drive down Mavis Rd, across Hwy 401 and into Heartland Town Centre at 650 Matheson Blvd W. Meadowvale Village and Meadowvale are different places
This page is for Meadowvale Village, the area north of Hwy 401 between Levi Creek and Fletcher's Creek, with the old hamlet around Old Derry Rd and Second Line W at its heart. Meadowvale, with its town centre and Lake Aquitaine, is a separate neighbourhood well to the west.
The difference matters for the trip. From Meadowvale Village the studio is a short run straight south. From Meadowvale it is a longer drive east, covered on our Meadowvale page.
The drive south, road by road
The whole route is about three roads long. Leave the village streets on Second Line W, cut through on Sombrero Way, and join Mavis Rd heading south.
- Take Second Line W out of the village and follow Sombrero Way over to Mavis Rd.
- Drive south on Mavis and cross Hwy 401 at the Mavis interchange.
- Keep going past Boyer Blvd and Britannia Rd, the stretch where Heartland Town Centre begins, down to Matheson Blvd.
- Turn east on Matheson Blvd W toward McLaughlin Rd and park at 650 Matheson Blvd W, where Home Depot and Winners also sit.
Landmarks that make it an easy trip to explain
Meadowvale Village was Ontario's first Heritage Conservation District, and its old hamlet at Old Derry Rd and Second Line W is the easiest starting point to describe. Whether you live by the Gooderham Estate or closer to the Meadowvale Conservation Area, the trip begins the same way: find Mavis Rd and point the car south.
The 401 is the real divider. Once you are over it on Mavis, you are in Heartland, where the Heartland studio page explains exactly where we sit among the 180 or so stores.
Transit from north of the 401
Transit is possible but less direct than driving. The 61 Mavis and 66 McLaughlin both run north toward Sheridan's Davis campus in Brampton, so they cross the 401 on their way. The 61 stops at Mavis and Matheson, and the 66 stops at McLaughlin and Matheson, which is nearer our door.

Why the village comes down to Heartland for a cut
A heritage district is not where you find a strip of shops, so for most village residents a haircut already means getting in the car. Pairing it with a Heartland errand, a Costco or Home Depot run, saves a second trip over the highway.

I live in Meadowvale, not the village. Is it still close?
It is farther. Meadowvale sits well to the west, so plan on a longer drive east along Britannia or Derry Rd.
Is the Mavis Rd crossing busy at rush hour?
It can be. The drive times on this page are for clear roads, so leave extra time for the 401 interchange around weekday rush hours.
