Barber near Lisgar: Why a 10 km Trip Takes About 11 Minutes
Short answer: Markcutit is about 10 km from Lisgar by road, inside Heartland Town Centre at 650 Matheson Blvd W, yet the drive is only around 11 minutes when traffic is clear because most of it is on the 401. Take Argentia Road to the highway, ride east to Mavis Road and head south to Matheson. We are open until 9 PM daily, Sundays included.

Why Lisgar is closer than the kilometres suggest
Lisgar sits in the corner where Highway 407 meets Highway 401, with Tenth Line and Britannia Road closing the other two sides. That position keeps the 401 close to most of the neighbourhood, and highway kilometres go by far faster than arterial ones.
The result is a slightly odd one: by road Lisgar is farther from us than Churchill Meadows, but on a clear day the drive can be a minute or so shorter. Rush hour on the 401 reverses that quickly, so treat 11 minutes as the off-peak case.
The drive, step by step
Argentia Road, which runs beside the 401, is the natural first leg.
- Take Argentia Road east toward the 401 on-ramp.
- Join the 401 eastbound and move into the collector lanes.
- Exit at Mavis Road and head south.
- Turn left onto Matheson Blvd W and follow it to the McLaughlin side of Heartland Town Centre; the visit page shows the exact spot.
Lisgar GO riders: the train is not the way here
Lisgar GO, which opened in September 2007 on the Milton line, is a great way downtown but no help getting to us. The Milton line is built around weekday peak trips toward Toronto, and there is no GO station close to Heartland; the nearest ones, Streetsville and Erindale, are several kilometres from the studio.
If you commute by GO and want a cut after work, the practical plan is to get home, pick up the car and use the 401. Because we stay open until 9 PM, that still leaves a comfortable evening window.
Fitting a cut into a Lisgar weekend
Weekends are when most Lisgar clients have time for the trip. Our Saturday and Sunday hours are the same as weekdays, 9:30 AM to 9 PM, which our weekend barber page covers in more detail.
A common pattern is a morning at Osprey Marsh, the string of man-made ponds in the south of the neighbourhood that doubles as stormwater management, or at Johnny Bower Park, then a highway run east for a cut and a Heartland shop in one trip.
Choosing a barber and a style from Lisgar
Booksy shows both calendars, so you choose who cuts you before you leave. Mark leans toward skin fades, fade-into-beard blends, razor lineups and slick backs; Marcel toward low and mid tapers, drop fades, texture on top and detailing.
For something very short and clean on the sides, our bald fade page explains how the appointment runs and how often to come back to keep the skin section sharp.
Tell us at the consultation how you wear your hair on a normal weekday, whether that is styled for the office or under a cap for the gym, and the cut is shaped around that.
Barber near Lisgar: common questions
What if the 401 is jammed when I'm due?
Text (647) 221-9795 as early as you can, or reschedule in Booksy. Britannia Road West is the surface route if the highway is at a standstill, and it runs straight into Heartland.
Is Lisgar GO any use for getting to Heartland?
Not really. No GO station sits close to Heartland, and the Milton line mostly runs weekday peak trips toward Toronto, so driving the 401 is far quicker from Lisgar.
Can I book a beard trim along with the haircut?
Yes. Book Haircut + Beard on Booksy to do both in one visit, or Beard Only + Lineup if the hair can wait.
Where exactly inside Heartland is the studio?
At 650 Matheson Blvd W, on the Matheson side of the centre toward McLaughlin Rd, the same address as Home Depot and Winners. Our Heartland page walks you in.
