Barber near Cooksville: Is 11 Minutes Up Hurontario Worth It?
Short answer: Cooksville already has plenty of barbers close to Dundas and Hurontario, so the honest case for Markcutit is not distance. We are about 7.5 km north, roughly eleven minutes straight up Hurontario St to Matheson Blvd W in Heartland Town Centre. The reasons to make the drive are our 9 PM close every day and a free hot towel, wash and head massage.

The case for leaving Cooksville for a cut
Choose us over a closer shop when timing or the finish matters more than a short trip. Cooksville, centred on Dundas St and Hurontario, is a busy neighbourhood and a hub for South Asian and West Indian businesses, and there is no shortage of chairs nearby.
What we add is late opening seven days a week, the choice of two senior barbers you can book by name, and a full finish included with every service. If your usual shop closes at 8 or shuts early on Sunday, that is when an eleven-minute drive starts to make sense.
What every appointment includes
The finish is the part people notice. Here is how each visit runs, whatever you book:
| Stage | What happens |
|---|---|
| Consultation | Head shape, growth pattern and how you wear it day to day |
| The cut or beard work | Any fade, taper or scissor cut, or beard shaping |
| Lineup | A razor-clean edge on every cut |
| Hot towel treatment | Included free |
| Hair wash | Included free, to clear loose clippings |
| Head massage | Included free |
One road, north: Hurontario from Dundas to Matheson
You barely turn the wheel. From Cooksville, take Hurontario St north past the City Centre, over Hwy 403, and on past Eglinton and Bristol. At Matheson Blvd, turn west onto Matheson Blvd W and follow it toward McLaughlin Rd.
The studio is at 650 Matheson Blvd W, the address shared with Home Depot and Winners inside Heartland Town Centre. Park in the surface lots. Long stretches of Hurontario are still under LRT construction, so plan on extra time at rush hour.
Cooksville landmarks that anchor the trip
If you start from any of these, the eleven-minute estimate applies. The GO train does not help for this trip: the Milton line runs east to west and never reaches Heartland.
- Cooksville GO at 3210 Hurontario St, on the Milton line and a planned LRT interchange.
- Mississauga Hospital, which sits in Cooksville.
- The McClelland-Copeland store, dating from 1852, a piece of old Cooksville.
The bus route if you do not drive
The Hurontario buses north to us start at City Centre. The 17 Hurontario runs from there up to Matheson Blvd, and the 103 Hurontario Express stops at Matheson as well. From City Centre Transit Terminal, the 66 McLaughlin and 61 Mavis also stop at Matheson.
So from Cooksville the plan is: get to City Centre, ride north, then walk along Matheson to 650 Matheson Blvd W. For evening options after that ride, see our open-late page, and our hot towel barber page covers the finish in more detail.
Barber near Cooksville: common questions
Why would I skip the barbers on Dundas St?
You may not need to. Come to us if you need a slot after 8 PM, a Sunday evening cut, a particular barber, or the free hot towel, wash and massage. The drive up Hurontario is about eleven minutes without traffic.
Can I pick my barber?
Yes. On Booksy you choose Mark Yousif, who leans toward skin fades and fade-into-beard blends, or Marcel Shabo, who leans toward tapers, drop fades and texture.
Is there a Markcutit in Cooksville?
No. Our one studio is in Heartland Town Centre. Directions, hours and the map are on our visit page.
Do you offer a hot towel shave?
No. The hot towel treatment comes with every service, but there is no straight-razor shave on the menu. Beard Only + Lineup is the beard-focused booking.
