Where Central Erin Mills ends and our side of the city begins
Central Erin Mills is the stretch between Winston Churchill Boulevard and Erin Mills Parkway, running from about Eglinton up to Britannia. Heartland Town Centre lies well east of it: past the Credit River, through East Credit and just beyond Mavis Road.
So this is a drive across the city, not a walk to the local plaza. The upside is that almost all of it happens on a single road you already use.
Driving it: Eglinton, the river valley, then Mavis
From the Erin Centre Boulevard area, home to Erin Meadows Community Centre and its library, get onto Eglinton Avenue West and point east. You cross Erin Mills Parkway, dip into the Credit River valley and come up the other side into East Credit.
At Mavis Road, turn left and go north to Matheson Blvd W. The studio is on the Matheson side of Heartland toward McLaughlin Rd, and the visit page has the exact pin.
If you live at the Britannia end of the neighbourhood, Britannia Road West is the other option: it runs straight into Heartland, and which one wins depends on the day's traffic.
Three ways to book from Central Erin Mills
Each booking channel suits a different moment, so pick the one that matches how you plan. Whichever you use, arrive a few minutes early, since the drive has a river crossing that can slow at peak times.
Most people use Booksy; our page on booking a barber online walks through choosing a barber and a time there.
| Channel | Best for |
|---|---|
| Booksy | Seeing live openings for Mark and Marcel and locking in a late weeknight slot |
| Call or text (647) 221-9795 | Asking about an opening today, or moving an appointment |
| Instagram DM @markcutit | Sending a reference photo of the cut you want before you book |
What happens once you sit down
Every appointment opens with a consultation about your head shape, how your hair grows and how you actually wear it on a normal morning. The cut follows, and it finishes with a razor-clean lineup.
Then comes the part that is free with every service: a hot towel, a hair wash and a head massage. If you have been saving a photo of a two-block haircut or a drop fade, Marcel's leaning toward drops and texture on top makes him an easy pick, though both barbers do every service.
Is the trip worth it when there is a shop closer to home?
Sometimes it is not, and that is fine. If all you need is a quick tidy-up and there is a barber in your plaza, that is the sensible choice.
The drive makes sense when you want a particular barber on a set day, when you need a cut after 8 PM or on a Sunday evening, or when you are already heading to Heartland for Costco, Walmart or Best Buy.
Barber near Central Erin Mills: common questions
How long does the Eglinton drive take at rush hour?
Longer than the 10-minute off-peak figure. Eglinton gets heavy in the evening rush, so leave extra time and aim to arrive a few minutes before your slot.
Who should I book for a drop fade?
Either barber. Marcel leans toward drop fades and texture on top, while Mark leans toward skin fades and fade-into-beard blends; both handle every service on the menu.
Do you have a studio on the west side of Mississauga?
No. Our only studio is inside Heartland Town Centre, and the Heartland page explains where it sits within the centre.
