Two town centres with very different layouts

Erin Mills Town Centre, at 5100 Erin Mills Parkway, is an enclosed mall with one big roof and corridors. Heartland Town Centre, where we are, is a power centre: separate buildings spread over large surface lots, so you park near the store you need rather than walking a concourse.

That layout shapes the visit. You can pull up on our Matheson Blvd W side toward McLaughlin Rd, get your cut, then drive a few hundred metres to Costco or Best Buy without ever going indoors in between.

The Eglinton route, landmark by landmark

From the middle of Erin Mills the whole trip is Eglinton then Mavis, and you will recognise every stage.

• Start at the Erin Mills Parkway and Eglinton corner, where the town centre sits.
• Head east: Credit Valley Hospital, at 2200 Eglinton Ave W by Credit Valley Road, comes up shortly after.
• Cross the Credit River valley, which puts you in East Credit.
• Turn north at Mavis Road and follow it up to Matheson Blvd W; the visit page shows where to turn in.

Starting from the Dundas end of Erin Mills

Erin Mills is a long district: it runs from Dundas Street in the south up to about Britannia Road, with Erin Mills Parkway, the old Fifth Line West, as its spine. The 8 km figure is measured from around the town centre, so from the Dundas end your drive is noticeably longer.

If you live near Dundas, book a slot with some breathing room and treat the 12 minutes as a best case. A text to (647) 221-9795 if you are running behind is always better than arriving late in silence.

Hospital shifts and late cuts

Anyone who works at Credit Valley Hospital knows shifts rarely end at five. Because we stay open until 9 PM seven days a week, a cut after a day shift or on a day off in the middle of the week is realistic, and the drive from the hospital to us is one of the shorter ones on this side of the city.
