Buzz Cut in Mississauga: A Barbershop Buzz With a Fade and Clean Edges
Short answer: Yes. Markcutit gives buzz cuts at our Heartland Town Centre studio, usually with a skin fade or taper and a razor lineup, booked on Booksy as Haircut Only, or Haircut + Beard if you want the beard blended in. Mark Yousif leans toward skin fades and fade-into-beard blends; Marcel Shabo toward tapers. Tell us the guard you use at home.

Three kinds of buzz we book most
Most buzz cuts we do fall into one of three setups, and knowing which one you want makes the booking straightforward. All three are cut with clippers and finished with a lineup.
The guard names, variants and head-shape advice are in our buzz cut guide. For booking purposes, the setups are:
- Buzz with a skin fade: one guard on top, faded to skin around the ears and neck. Haircut Only, through our skin fades service. Mark Yousif's leaning.
- Buzz with a taper: the sides get shorter only at the edges, so it grows out more evenly. Haircut Only. Marcel Shabo's leaning.
- Buzz, fade and beard in one line: the fade runs from the scalp down into a shaped beard. Book Haircut + Beard. This is the fade-into-beard blend Mark is known for.
Tell us what you do at home
If you keep the top short yourself between visits, tell us the guard you use, because we will set the fade to start just below it. A barber fade built under a No. 3 looks wrong once you run a No. 2 over the top at home, since the blend no longer matches.
Also mention your clipper brand if you know it. Guard lengths vary slightly between brands, and a No. 2 on one can cut a touch shorter than on another, which matters at these lengths.
Going from long hair to a buzz in one visit
Yes, you can walk out with a buzz even if you arrive with several months of length. We take the bulk off first, then set the guard, so the clipper is never fighting long hair.
Two things are worth knowing before you book. First, we will ask once more before the first pass, because there is no way back from it for a few months. Second, the scalp underneath may be paler than your face for a week or two, especially in summer. Our answer on going from long hair to short covers what to expect.
Signs it is time to book again
Book your next visit when the edges go soft, not when the top gets long. The top of a buzz can be kept at home; what brings people back every two to four weeks is the detail around it.
- The fade line blurs, and you can no longer see where skin turns into hair.
- The neckline grows down past where it was cut.
- The front hairline and temples lose their sharp corners.
- If you wear a beard, the join between sideburn and beard stops looking like one line.
A short cut that suits a busy Mississauga week
A buzz is about as low-effort as a haircut gets, and our hours match that. We are open 9:30 AM to 9 PM every day, including Sunday, and same-day openings come up often on Booksy, so a buzz rarely needs planning weeks ahead.
The studio is inside Heartland Town Centre on Matheson Blvd W. If you come by MiWay, the 66 McLaughlin and 61 Mavis both stop on Matheson. You can see a finished example in the Buzz Cut, Taper and Beard Lineup case from our studio.
Buzz cut in Mississauga: common questions
Do I need to book a buzz cut, or can I just come in?
Please book on Booksy, or call or text (647) 221-9795. Same-day openings are common, so booking the same morning often works.
Can you match the guard I use at home?
Yes. Tell us the number and brand, and we will cut the top with the same length and build the fade underneath it.
Is a No. 1 all over too short for winter here?
It is short for a Mississauga January, so many people go up to a No. 3 or No. 4 from December to February and wear a toque. You can drop back down in spring.
Do you shave the head with a razor after the buzz?
No, we do not offer straight-razor head shaves. The razor is used only for the lineup around the edges.
