Barber near Churchville: From the Credit River Hamlet South on Mavis

Short answer: Markcutit is about 9.3 km from Churchville, across the Brampton border in Mississauga's Heartland Town Centre at 650 Matheson Blvd W. It is roughly a 12-minute drive in light traffic: Churchville Road to Steeles Avenue West, east to Mavis Road, then south to Matheson. We cut from 9:30 AM to 9 PM seven days a week, and a free hot towel, wash and head massage come with every service.

Churchville to Heartland crosses a city line

Churchville is in south-west Brampton, and we are in Mississauga, so this trip takes you over the border. It is still one of the shorter drives to Heartland from Brampton, because Mavis Road runs almost directly from your end of the city to ours.

The hamlet has more history than most places on our client map. It began in 1815 when Amaziah Church built a gristmill on the Credit River, joined Brampton in 1974, and in 1990 became Brampton's only heritage conservation district.

The route: over the river, along Steeles, down Mavis

Three roads cover it, and the first one takes you across the river the hamlet was built on.

  1. Take Churchville Road over the Credit River bridge toward Steeles Avenue West.
  2. Turn east on Steeles and drive to the Mavis Road intersection, where Chinguacousy Road to the north becomes Mavis Road to the south.
  3. Head south on Mavis, crossing the 407 and then the 401.
  4. Turn left onto Matheson Blvd W and follow it east to the McLaughlin side of Heartland Town Centre; the visit page marks the spot.

Why transit is not the easy option from Churchville

Churchville is a small, quiet heritage village, and there is no convenient single bus from its streets to our door. MiWay 61 Mavis does run from Sheridan College's Davis campus in Brampton down Mavis Road and stops at Mavis and Matheson, but you would need to reach it first.

For almost everyone in the hamlet, the car is the realistic way in. The upside is a simple drive with only a handful of turns.

Sunday cuts and the 9 PM close

Because the village is residential, most Churchville errands already mean a drive somewhere. We keep identical hours on Sunday, 9:30 AM to 9 PM, so a cut before the week starts is easy to fit in, as our barber open Sunday page explains.

Combine it with Heartland if you like: Costco, Walmart, Loblaws and about 180 other stores sit in the same centre, each with its own surface parking.

A classic cut to suit a heritage village

If you want something timeless rather than trend-driven, a gentleman's haircut is the usual answer: a tidy side part or brushed-back top with neat, conservative sides.

Mark leans toward slick backs and razor lineups; Marcel leans toward low tapers and detailing. Either will start with a consultation on how you wear your hair day to day and finish with a razor-clean lineup.

Barber near Churchville: common questions

How far is Markcutit from the Churchville heritage district?

About 9.3 km by road, or roughly 12 minutes when traffic is light. Weekday rush hour on Steeles and Mavis can add noticeably to that.

Does Mavis Road go straight from Brampton to Heartland?

Yes. North of Steeles it is called Chinguacousy Road; south of Steeles it is Mavis Road, which crosses the 407 and 401 before reaching Matheson Blvd W.

Is Churchville part of Mississauga?

No. Churchville has been part of Brampton since 1974; our studio is just south of the border in Mississauga, inside Heartland Town Centre.

Can I choose which barber cuts my hair?

Yes. Booksy shows Mark's and Marcel's calendars separately, or you can call or text (647) 221-9795. Our Heartland page explains where the studio sits in the centre.
