Lineup and Shape Up in Mississauga: Razor-Clean Edges at Heartland
Short answer: Yes. Every haircut at Markcutit, inside Heartland Town Centre on Matheson Blvd W, finishes with a razor-clean lineup, and between cuts you can book Beard Only + Lineup on Booksy to refresh the front, sideburns and beard edges. Mark Yousif leans toward razor lineups, and we follow your natural hairline rather than cutting a new one.

Two ways to get a lineup on our Booksy menu
You can get a lineup at Markcutit either as the last step of a haircut or as its own short visit between haircuts. There is no separate lineup charge on a haircut: the razor edge is simply how every cut here ends.
Which one to pick depends on where you are in your cycle. If the fade and the top still look right and only the edges have gone soft, the in-between visit saves you a full cut.
- Haircut Only or Haircut + Beard: the lineup comes at the end, after the fade and top are finished, so the edge matches the final shape.
- Beard Only + Lineup: the between-cuts refresh for the front hairline, temples, sideburns and beard lines. Our beard trim and lineup service page shows what that visit covers.
- No beard and only want the hairline? Text (647) 221-9795 before booking and we will point you to the right slot.
Mark Yousif leans toward razor lineups
If the edge is the thing you care about most, book with Mark Yousif, the founder, whose work leans toward razor lineups, skin fades and fade-into-beard blends. Where the temple meets a skin fade, and where the sideburn meets a beard, is exactly the join he spends time on.
Marcel Shabo lines up every cut he does too, and his detailing work suits people who wear a softer taper with a crisp front. Both barbers do every service on the menu, so choose by who you already trust, or by the next free slot. You can see Mark's approach on his barber page.
What we ask before the trimmer touches your hairline
Before we draw anything, we want three answers from you, because a lineup is the one part of a haircut that is hard to undo. A line cut a touch too deep can take weeks to grow back in.
For the full technique and why the natural edge matters, read our shape up guide. In the chair, the questions are practical:
- Where have past barbers put your line, and did it feel pushed back afterwards? Tell us, and we will set the edge at your real hairline instead of the old cut.
- Do you get bumps or redness from a razor? If so, we can finish with the trimmer only and skip the blade.
- Is the beard staying the same, or do you want the cheek line and sideburns reshaped while we are there? That changes whether you book the beard with it.
How often to come back for a lineup
Most people who care about a sharp edge come back every one to two weeks for a lineup and every three to four weeks for a full cut. How soon you notice the fuzz depends on how dark and dense your hair is and how close your fade sits to skin.
The table below is a starting point we use when people ask how to set up their bookings. Once you know your own rhythm, the easiest move is to book the next visit in Booksy before you leave the chair.
| Your situation | Lineup refresh | Full haircut |
|---|---|---|
| Skin fade, dark hair, no beard | Every 7 to 10 days | Every 2 to 3 weeks |
| Taper or scissor sides | Every 2 weeks, or skip | Every 3 to 4 weeks |
| Full beard with a sharp cheek line | Every 1 to 2 weeks with the beard | Every 3 to 4 weeks |
| Big day coming up | 1 to 2 days before | About a week before |
Fitting a lineup into a Mississauga week
The studio is open until 9 PM every day, including Sunday, which is what makes a quick edge-up realistic around work. Plenty of people come in on the way home from the 401, or on a Sunday evening so the line is fresh for Monday.
Holiday weeks fill up faster. Diwali falls on November 8, 2026, and Eid al-Fitr is expected around March 10, 2027, so if you want a fresh lineup for either, book a few days ahead rather than hoping for a same-day slot. Same-day openings do come up often on quieter days, and Booksy shows them live.
Real lineups from the studio
The best way to judge a lineup is to look at one up close. Our Buzz Cut, Taper and Beard Lineup case shows how an edge reads on a very short cut, where the line carries most of the look. The full portfolio has more fades and beards with the finished edges visible.
If you have a photo of a line you like, bring it. A screenshot is quicker than describing a temple angle in words.
Lineup and shape up in Mississauga: common questions
Can I book a lineup without a full haircut?
Yes. Book Beard Only + Lineup on Booksy for a between-cuts refresh. If you have no beard and only want the hairline done, text us first so we can confirm the slot.
Can you straighten a lineup another barber pushed back?
We can tidy it and stop taking it further back, but we cannot put hair back that has been cut away. The fix is to leave the front alone for a few weeks; our page on fixing a hairline pushed back too far explains the timeline.
Is a lineup at Markcutit done with a straight razor?
The edge is set with a trimmer and cleaned with a razor unless your skin reacts to it, in which case we finish with the trimmer only. Just say so at the start.
Can I get a lineup on a Sunday night?
Yes, we are open until 9 PM on Sundays. Check Booksy for live evening availability or call or text (647) 221-9795.
