Ear Waxing for Men in Mississauga: Outer-Ear Hair Removal at Markcutit

Short answer: Yes. At Markcutit ear waxing is included in the Full Face Wax, which covers the face, nose and ears; there is no separate ear-only item on the menu. Wax goes on the visible outer ear only, never inside the canal. Book it on its own or add it to a haircut on Booksy at 650 Matheson Blvd W in Heartland Town Centre, and tell us beforehand if your skin is sunburned, broken or on retinoids.

Where ear waxing sits on the Markcutit menu

Ears are waxed as part of the Full Face Wax, the same treatment that covers the face and nose. If you only want your nostrils done, the separate Nose Wax is the quicker choice; if the ears are what bothers you, book Full Face Wax.

You can book it as its own appointment or add it when you book a cut. Prices and appointment length for both waxing options are shown on Booksy. For how face and nose waxing work more generally, see our face and nose waxing service page.

Which part of the ear gets waxed

Only the outside. We wax the hair you can see: along the rim, on the earlobe, and on the small flap of cartilage in front of the canal where visible hair grows outward. Nothing is ever pushed into the ear canal.

That is also why waxing and ear health are separate questions. Ear waxing removes visible hair from the skin; it has nothing to do with earwax in the canal, and it is not a way to clean the ear. If you have discomfort, hearing changes or blockage, see a doctor rather than a barber.

  • Rim: fine hairs along the curved outer edge.
  • Lobe: often the most visible hair, especially from the side.
  • Front of the canal opening: the coarser hairs that grow outward, waxed only where they sit on the outer skin.

Who should skip ear waxing, or check first

Skip it if the skin on or around the ear is sunburned, cut, broken, inflamed or healing. Wax pulls on the surface as well as the hair, and damaged skin can tear or become irritated.

Tell us before we start if you use prescription retinoids or other strong skin treatments, since they can make skin more fragile. If you have a skin condition affecting your ears, or a recent ear piercing or procedure, check with your doctor or dermatologist first. A small trimmer is a gentler option in the meantime; our guide to trimming ear hair shows how.

Adding ear waxing to a haircut

Book your haircut and add Full Face Wax in the same Booksy booking, or ask at the consultation. Hair around the ears is right next to a fresh fade or taper, so clearing it makes the whole side of the head look finished.

Either barber can do it. It works especially well with a low taper or a neck taper, where the area around the ear is on show. Every appointment still ends with the free hot towel, hair wash and head massage described on the experience page.

The first day after an ear wax

Expect a little redness around the waxed areas that usually settles within a few hours. For the rest of the day, keep it simple: no heavy scented products on the ears and no scratching.

Waxing removes hair from the root, so the result lasts longer than a trim. Many men book Full Face Wax every few weeks alongside their regular cut. If you notice swelling, pain or bumps that do not settle, see a doctor.

Ear waxing for men in Mississauga: common questions

Does ear waxing hurt?

There is a quick sting as each strip comes off, and the lobes are usually easiest. The feeling passes within seconds.

Can I book just my ears without the rest of the face?

Ears are part of the Full Face Wax rather than a separate item. Tell us at the start that the ears are your priority.

Is ear waxing the same as ear candling or cleaning?

No. We only remove visible hair from the outer ear. We do not clean the ear canal, and nothing goes inside the ear.
